Ultra Sound Liposculpting

Ultrasound-assisted lipo-sculpture is an advanced cosmetic procedure designed to help you achieve a refined, sculpted body contour.  We utilize the Ultra-Z ™ system to perform ultrasonic-assisted liposuction procedures. The system utilises advanced cavitation an emulsification technology to perform lipo-sculpture on any part of the body - tailored to meet individual requirements.

Unlike traditional liposuction, liposculpture focuses not only on removing stubborn fat but also on artistically reshaping and defining your natural curves, resulting in a more harmonious and balanced silhouette.

This minimally invasive treatment is ideal for those seeking to enhance their body’s proportions and create a more toned appearance.

The lipo-sculpture procedure is performed in-office under local anaesthesia, ensuring maximum comfort throughout the process. The treatment begins with your doctor carefully marking the target areas where excess fat will be removed and body contours will be enhanced.

Small incisions (around 2mm) are made, and a thin tube called a cannula is inserted into the treatment area. Using high-frequency sound waves, the cannula liquefies fat cells, making them easier to suction out.

This technique allows for more precise fat removal, resulting in smoother, more natural body contouring. After the procedure, patients are required to wear compression garments to aid recovery and enhance the results.

  • Am i good candidate for ultrasound assisted liposculpture?

Am I a good candidate for ultrasound-assisted liposculpture?

Good candidates are individuals who have localized fat deposits that they want to eliminate.

  • Is the procedure painful?

How long does the procedure take?

The length of the procedure depends on the areas being treated but generally ranges from 1 to 3 hours.

  • What is the recovery like?

Recovery from ultrasound-assisted liposculpture is quicker than traditional liposuction. You may experience mild swelling and bruising, but most patients can return to normal activities within a few days. Wearing compression garments as instructed by your doctor is important for optimal healing.

  • When will I see results and how long do they last?last?

How soon will I see results?

Initial results are visible shortly after the procedure, but the full effect will continue to improve over several months as your body heals and the skin tightens around the treated areas.

    Are the results permanent?

The fat removed during liposculpture is permanently eliminated. However, maintaining a stable weight through a healthy diet and regular exercise is essential to preserving your results.

How many sessions are needed for optimal results?

In most cases, one session is sufficient to achieve the desired results. However, the number of sessions may vary depending on the individual’s goals and the areas being treated.

  • What are the risks associated with ultrasound-assisted liposculpture

While complications are rare, potential risks include infection, bruising, swelling, and temporary numbness. Consulting with a skilled and experienced practitioner minimizes the risk of side effects.

Will there be scarring after the procedure?

The small incisions (around 2mm) used for the cannula typically heal well and leave minimal, almost invisible scars.

How long do I need to wear compression garments after the procedure?

Your doctor will advise you on how long to wear compression garments, but generally, they are worn for several weeks to help reduce swelling and support the healing process.

  • What to expect post procedure and in recovery time?

What should i do after the procedure?

    • Access Points & Dressing: The access points will be left open and covered with absorbent plasters. You will be dressed in a compression garment and monitored in the recovery area for 30-60 minutes before being discharged.

    • Pain Management: The treated area will remain numb for up to 6 hours. Begin taking your prescribed painkillers within this time to reduce discomfort and swelling.

    • Garment Care: Do not remove your compression garment at any time during the first 24 hours, as this could lead to excessive bleeding under the skin.

    • Fluid Leakage: Straw-coloured or reddish fluid may leak from the access points for up to 48 hours, which is normal. If concerned about the volume or colour of the fluid, call 0861 555 111 (available 24/7).

To manage leakage, use waterproof sheeting and dark towels while sleeping. Sanitary pads can be placed over the access points to absorb excess fluid.

What should i do during the first few days of recovery?

    • Garment Usage: Wear the compression garment day and night for 4 to 6 weeks, except during bathing and garment rinsing. This helps reduce pain, assist with skin retraction, and minimize swelling.

    • Medications: Take all prescribed medications, including painkillers and sleeping tablets, as directed.

    • Bruising and Swelling: Bruising and swelling will start within 24 hours and last for 1 to 2 weeks. Arnica tablets and gentle lymphatic drainage physiotherapy can help reduce recovery time.

What should i do during recuperation?

    • Lifestyle Adjustments: Avoid alcohol and smoking for the first two weeks post-procedure.

    • Hydration: Drink 2 to 3 liters of water daily during the first week.

    • Salt Intake: If you have low blood pressure, increase your salt intake as recommended.

    • Avoid Sweet Drinks: Sweet fluids may cause nausea, so avoid them.

    • Medication: Complete your course of antibiotics and take painkillers as prescribed for proper recovery.
